■3rd Person POV■

The morning breeze swayed (H/C) hair and the owner is trying to cover it from hitting her face. Male hands gently hold her hair, making it so it fits in one of the hands. One of those big hands reaches out to take the scrunchies on the girl's arm.

Kuguri Naoyasu is tying her girlfriend's hair.

Kuguri: is it too tight?

Y/N looks back at her boyfriend and smiles sweetly at him.

Y/N: no, thank you Naoyasu...

The two continue their walk to their school, Nohebi Senior High School. The two third year students are together since they're late first year.

Their encounter is like a fate trying to set the two. When Naoyasu goes back from volleyball practice, the boy who always has a disinterest expression hears a girl's voice.

He usually doesn't care about what happens around him, but the sound of some boys sourced from the same way with the girl, kind of caught his attention.

Kuguri found a girl with the uniform of his school, it's Y/N who's been cornered by some guys from another school. The two eyes met and Kuguri could see the fear and uncomfortable look in her eyes.

That day, Kuguri saves Y/N from those boys, and the two kinds of became friends. Y/N likes to come to the volleyball practice and they started to get attracted to each other.

At the end of their first year, Y/N confessed her feelings and Kuguri surprised his friends by accepting her feelings and asked her to be his girlfriend.

Even his senior Suguru was surprised and he was amazed at Y/N for pick up Kuguri's interest.

It's been two years and the two are really close. Kuguri doesn't look like the affectionate type but actually really cares about Y/N.

The two are from different classes, right after they reach the third year's floor, they part ways.

Y/N: see you later Naoyasu...

Kuguri really likes the face Y/N makes when she smiles. He nods his head and pats her head.

Kuguri: see you...

Kuguri walks into his class and head to his chair when a girl approaches him.

Kurumi: good morning Kuguri kun...

Kuguri puts his bag on his desk and sits.

Kuguri: morning...

He puts on his usual disinterested face and looks at his phone.

Kurumi: um Kuguri kun, want to eat lunch together?

Kuguri: I'm meeting with the volleyball junior at lunch...

Kurumi clenches his vest and still puts on a sweet smile.

Kurumi: and how about after school? We can probably study to-

Kuguri: Y/N and I are going to study at her place...

Kurumi's hands turn into a fist, looking at the boy in front of her doesn't even bat an eye on her, unlike when he sees a certain girl. Before she could say anything the bell rings.

Hours passed and school finally ends. The homeroom teacher asks Kuguri and one of his classmate to help him brings the students homework.

Kurumi who sees Kuguri leave with the teacher head to Y/N's class.

Kurumi: L/N

Y/N turns around and sees her boyfriend's classmate.

Y/N: yes, what is it Nakayama san?

Kurumi: Kuguro san is going with the teacher, he asked me to tell you to meet him at the art room.

Y/N is confused because Kuguri didn't say anything to her from chats, but she's not someone who likes to think bad of others.

Y/N: um okay, I'll tell him ill go the-

Kurumi: no need, Kuguri's phone is dead that's why he asked me to tell you.

Y/N: ah I see... okay thank you Nakayama san...

Y/N heads to the art room on the corner of the first floor. After she saw her leaves, Kurumo approaches one of Y/N's classmates, Nakano Sho, her friends from the student council.

Kurumi knows that Nakano likes Y/N but he never dares to confess because Y/N has Kuguri.

Nakano: Nakayama?

Kurumi: I'll help you out to be with L/N...

Ten minutes have passed since Y/N waits in the art room. Then she hears as the door slides open.

She excitedly turns her head, hoping to see Kuguri, but who she found is no other than her classmate, Nakano.

Y/N: Nakano san?

Nakano looks nervous he is conflicted but his feelings for Y/N make him follow Kurumi's request.

Nakano closes the door and walks closer to Y/N, he stands in front of her and confesses his feelings.

Nakano: L/N... I... like you...

Y/N is surprised by her friend's confession. She stares at Nakano but then bows her head.

Y/N: Nakano san... I... am sorry... I can't return your feeling...

Nakano looks down and clenches his hands.

Nakano: I know...

Y/N: huh?

Suddenly Nakano walks closer making Y/N take a step back and make her trapped between him and a table.

Y/N: N-Nakano kun?

Nakano: I'm sorry...

Just then the door slides open.

Y/N looks at the door and meets eyes with Kuguri whose eyes widened.

Y/N: Naoyasu...

Kuguri's face looks disinterest and Y/N knows it's not right. Y/N runs past Nakano and chases after Kuguri who's about to leave.

Y/N: Naoyasu! I-

Y/N grabs Kuguri's hand but he pulls his hand away. Y/N's heart clenches when Kuguri did that and she looks up to see Kuguri who looks at her with hatred.

Kuguri: don't talk to me or anything... go to your new boyfriend... I'm breaking up with you... looking at you, annoy me...

Kuguri coldly says and leaves Y/N without letting her explain.

Y/N: Naoyasu... wai

Kuguri is no longer seen in the hallway. He left her with a misunderstanding. Nakano walks out of the art room and approaches Y/N who stands still looking at where she last saw Kuguri.

Nakano: L/N... I...

Nakano stops talking the moment he sees Y/N's face. Y/N is staring at the floor with tears streaming down her cheeks.

His chest feels tight seeing the girl that he likes cries, because of what he did. Kurumi told Nakano to do that so Kuguri and her will break up and their plan works.

Kuguri left Y/N without giving her the room to explain. Y/N wants to run after him so bad, but his last word makes it hard for her to move.

Kuguri walks at a fast pace leaving the school ground not realizing that a girl is trying to talk to him.

Kurumi: Kuguri kun!

Kuguri finally looks at her but she's shudders when he sees how angry he looks. Kurumi is scared but she pretends she knows nothing.

Kurumi: so how is it? Is L/N really? Just like what those people say- Kuguri kun!

Kuguri turns his back at her and walks forward, doesn't care about Kurumi who's calling him. His mind is a mess, Y/N's face keeps on showing, how sad she looks when he told her looking at her annoys him.

Y/N's heart is hurting so much...

The boy she loves doesn't listen to her...

Kuguri's heart is a mess...

Doesn't know what to think and is too angry to let her explain...

And the two are drowned in this misunderstanding...
